…leaving lockport.

After several days of writing/recording new Gym Class Heroes’ tunes, I began my 7 hour trek home from Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY…Disashi and I stopped @ Mighty Taco for dinner on our way out of town. After placing my order of 2 “banderitos”, some compelling dialogue with the teenaged cashier ensued…

Cashier:  Will that be all?
Me:  Do you have coffee?
Cashier:  We do…But it’s not very good.
Me:  Does it have a lot of caffeine in it though?
Cashier:  I don’t know. I’ve never had it.
Me:  Oh. {Long Pause} OK. Do you have, like…ummm…energy drinks?
Cashier:  Yeah.
Me:  Cool. What flavors?
Cashier:  We have coconut…{thinking}…mango…{thinking}…blue…{thinking}…and zero.
Me:  Zero is a flavor?
Cashier:  Yes.
Me:  {pause} Alright. I’ll have ‘blue’.  

…the humor is dry, and slight at best, but the encounter has been replaying in my head for the last few days. Felt like something out of “Clerks”.
